My heart is drawn to the simplicity of this setting. There is an authenticity and innocence about it that makes me wish we could go back. The world our children live in today is so different.
It's busy and hectic... always rushing.
I miss my sweet children when they are in school. I embrace our time together on the way to school and on the way back home after I have picked them up. I pray to be as intentional as possible in the short hours we have together before they go to bed.
I am always preaching to women to simplify and minimize their spaces at home beacause it allows their rooms to breathe. The same is true with our children. We need to allow them to be children and give them space to breathe and enjoy the simplicity of being a child.
We live in a world where we are all over committed and never still. Every now and then, let's give our children the gift of doing nothing.
